Comfort Inn Kashima

Underrated and under appreciated

We knew going to the Comfort Inn that we wouldn't be staying in the lap of luxury. We just wanted somewhere to sleep on a recent coastal trip to Ibaraki. And it was the perfect location for us - a hotel that charges by the room (not per person), along our travel route, comfortable beds with a decent breakfast. Furthermore, you can't beat it on value for money - it worked out at 3000 per person for the night (as there was 3 in each room) with an all you can eat breakfast included. Moreover, we were able to get TWO rooms on short notice on the first weekend of silver week. Plus, you can help yourself to water and coffee between 6 pm and midnight. There are a few negatives. Just one example, the water pressure isn't great, but they have signs up all over the hotel telling you that. And it didn't matter to us as we were going to a hot spring anyway. Honestly, for the value for our family of six, the pros far outweighed the cons. But maybe for a smaller family, their perspective might be different.
