Service with a smile

Where I live in Saitama Prefecture, 99% of the gasoline / petrol stations are now self service. They went self service about 10 years ago. So it was really nice to find an old style service station on the Akita side of Lake Towada. Not only do they work pump for you, they do it with a smile and a bit of chit chat! Its a small service station, and I'd say its been there donkey years, but they have the essentials for people (like us) on a long road trip! There are plenty of facilities nearby in the tourist area too.
