Hanata-en, a secret garden

Koshigaya City's Hanata-en is a secret garden. It has classic garden features, just like the big, popular ones in Tokyo. But what it doesn't have is crowds. It's a popular place for wedding photography, with photogenic bridges, pond, and rock garden features. Within the garden is a Noh theater. You can catch performances on weekends and some holidays. Tea ceremony groups also hold public events here. HOW TO GET THERE: From Koshigaya East Exit, take the Hanata-Shiritsu Toshokan bus. Get off at Hanata-en Iriguchi bus stop.
