Icon of the Beppu skyline
If you visit Beppu it's impossible to miss Beppu Tower on the city's skyline. There is an observatory on the tower's 17th floor, along with a restaurant (1st floor) and even karaoke (4th floor). The observatory is pretty inexpensive compared to some others I've visited - this one is only 300 yen.
