    New, clean, convenient!

The newest movie theatre in Sendai, Toho Cinemas, opened with Parco 2 a few months ago and I finally got the chance to check it out! The theatre is clean, the screen is big, and it's close to the station. Overall the theatre is well thought out in my opinion. Even sitting close to the bottom, 4th from the bottom actually, I was able to see the screen with no neck strain. In front of the seats, and behind the row in front of you, there is an open area on the floor for your bags and even an umbrella holder. The seats are nothing special but also not horrible either. The armrests are a bit short though. Also, couples, the arm rests do not raise up. The food is, of course, expensive but it comes on a tray that sits in the cup holder of your seat so you don't have to hold everything in your lap. This tray is probably the reason for the short armrests. They do offer some food that you might have a bit of trouble finding in other places. The ticket area is also nice because it's just a bunch of machines that do have English on them. I don't think 100% of the menu options had English but I imagine most people can get by as it is. For those of you driving cars, Toho Cinemas is not considered part of Parco so they do not give parking tickets. Overall, a nice theatre but nothing innovative.
