Great bakery for bread and sweets
Minamiboso City’s Tomiura Station from street looks like a ghost town. But Manga, the bakery was so busy I had to wait to be served. Their breads and sweets are popular with locals and visitors. It’s recommended as one of the stops on cycling routes. I had a flavorful ham egg sandwich with tangy sauce. I suspect the sauce is made in house. The lemon confection is tart, fragrant, and lightly glazed. It reminded me of sweets my Scottish grandmother made. The display case had various kinds of European style cakes and mousses. There’s no seating, but the beach and parks are minutes away by bicycle.
