Fun for random monument fans

If you find random monuments interesting, Mitsuke in Niigata Prefecture has one to check out for folks passing through or living nearby. This spot is the geographic center of the prefecture according to land surveys! It's not something I'd suggest going out of your way for, since it's nothing to write home about -- but if you are in the area it's fun to say you've been there and seen it.
