Towadako Lake View Hotel

Old style hotel with a warm welcome

Towadako Lake View Hotel is located in Kosaka town, Akita prefecture, but it is right on the border of Aomori. Furthermore, it is right beside the Lake Towada tourist area of Yasumiya. Moreover, the hotel offers great views of the lake. We first visited here 18 years ago at which time many hotels offered the kind of welcome Towadako Lake View Hotel still offers today. I was surprised and delighted that they still do such things as wave you off from the car park on departure. You can opt for an elaborate Japanese style dinner if you wish, but make sure you order it when booking the room. They only open the restaurant if there are bookings, from what I can tell. It is an old hotel, but the rooms are comfortable.
