    Small and Beautiful

It is that time of year again. Autumn is coming. The leaves in Japan are turning red, and everybody wants to get a picture of the nature wonders that happen in Japan during this time. Tonogayato Garden is definitely a spot for taking great shots. It is filled with bonsai trees, and maple trees. It has a big pond, and the scenary is set in the style of a traditional style Japanese garden. The garden itself is not very large. It is about a medium sized garden, but it is very quiet and you can take your lunch with you. It is a nice garden for photographers and people who just want to relax away from the city life. The garden opened in 1979. It is open from 9am until 5pm everyday. It is a two minute walk from Kokubunji station (south exit) and whilst there is no English speaking guide, they do a tour in Japanese. They have multiple languages available for the maps of the garden. The only closing days are December 29 - January 1st.
