Okonomiyaki as far as the eye can see

If you're into okonomiyaki (or Japan's comfort food, as I've come to know it as!) then checking out Okonomimura in Hiroshima is a definite must-do for you. It's referred to as a food theme park, and it was a bunch of different vendors all selling their own take on this foodie favorite. One of the things that I enjoyed most about visiting here was getting to see the okonomiyaki made right in front of my eyes. It is pretty incredible watching the chefs at work - everything is done so quickly, and yet with so much precision. If you're visiting Hiroshima and you enjoy a good, filling meal (who doesn't) this is a fun place to stop. Some might think it's a bit gimmicky, but I loved the food hawker style of the place, and that it was entertainment as much as it was a place to stop and eat. Worth a look if you're in the area.
