Mamekichi

Good spot to get coffee beans

If you're a coffee drinker, Mamekichi in Niigata's Chuo Ward is a nice spot to get freshly roasted beans to take home with you, or even a cup of coffee on the spot. They also have a cafe/restaurant, where you can get some comfort food dishes like hamburger steak and curry in reasonably priced lunch sets with salad, soup, a drink, and dessert. There's a small amount of parking out the front, but there's also a Lawson right across the street with a very ample parking lot...not sure about the ethics of using their lot if Mamekichi's is full, but I suppose if you buy something then it's not too bad :)
