The Mikawa Tourist Mushroom Garden is a fabulous spot to check out in Niigata for anyone who enjoys the humble fungi. There's a mushroom picking area at part of the venue, stalls selling local produce, plus a restaurant and barbecue area where you can enjoy different dishes featuring mushrooms. It's a very family-friendly spot for a day out since there's also some kids play equipment. Genuinely took me by surprise how much our family enjoyed visiting here.
