The Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba office tower completed in 2020 is part of the renewal of the Hamamatsu-cho and Takeshiba Pier. When you're on your way to the pier, this building is a great pit stop. The spacious first-floor lobby has seating looking onto the landscaping and a futuristic Lawson convenience store with a lighted floor. The interior is beautiful and calm with flooring constructed of timber from Tama lumber. On each floor are features that bring the public in - a street piano, bench seating between conference rooms, digital displays, and large windows overlooking the pier. On the east face of the building is Takeshiba Shinhakkei, a terraced garden with water features and landscaping that attracts wildlife. The second floor has accessible toilets and a nursing room with change tables.
