Alfred Tea Room

Cute for IG, but expensive

I didn't have the intention of going to Alfred Tea Room when I stopped by, though I had heard about it before. Actually, I feel like most people who know about cute Japan spots have heard of this place before. I decided to finally pull the trigger and check it out, mostly because I'm never in Aoyama otherwise. I got a milk tea bubble tea, which cost me over 800 yen! I was a bit surprised at the price, but I suppose that's the fee you play for some cute pictures. Actually, the taste of the drink was pretty nice but not really worth the price. I guess I'd consider it a bit of an admission fee for taking your cute pictures or enjoying the ambiance of the area. It was a bit crowded, but nothing too surprising for an early afternoon in Aoyama. It did get a bit more crowded as I sat and enjoyed my drink, but there was space to sit down. The workers were okay, but nothing special. They were nice but more out of obligation to their job than anything else.
