Local produce, delicious gelato
Daichi antenna shop is at the end of the Nibangai shopping street near Kashiwa Station south exit. The shop is a project of the Tokatsu region Japan Agriculture cooperative. Usually JA direct sales shops are simply fruit stands, but this shop has attractive displays of omiyage, grocery items and fresh fruit and vegetables. But the highlight is the gelato and smoothie bar. They also serve soup, sandwiches and coffee, and have a little dining area in the shop. Try tomato, komatsuna or basil gelato. It’s a real treat, and the portion you get is pretty generous.
