August 2026 - they are selling the "Jimoto" Frappe
Currently this Starbucks at the Yokokawa Service Area is selling the limited-edition Gunma Yappashi Myogisan Nansa Pineapple Yogurt Frappuccino, as part of the Starbucks 'Jimoto' range. It was released on August 5th. It is only available in a handful of places, so if you find yourself in this service area this August you can be one of the few (hundred!) that get to try this coveted Frappuccino. They also have a photo spot set up for the occasion, pictured.

Particularly nice terrace - for a service area!
There was a time when Starbucks at a parking / service area was a novelty, but nowadays you will find dozens of parking / service areas that have a Starbucks! I personally like this one for its terrace. Its a larger than normal terrace, for a parking / service area! And the terrace and the North window have a view of the lovely garden with plum blossom trees, that bloom in February. There is also some seating indoors. Some of the staff speak English.
