Stunning beach 20min from Tsuruga Station
Suisho Beach is a stunning beach about 20 minutes driving time from Tsuruga Station, which is now a ton easier to reach thanks to the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen. The off-season here is pretty quiet and it's a lovely spot for a stroll, not sure how it would be in summer (I'm imagining more crowded!) but I still think it'd be worth the visit if you're in the area.

A beautiful clear beach hidden on the main island
I never expected to find such a clear beach on Honshuu island. The water was so clear, I was able to see some fish too! There was a rocky area which was fun for picture taking! Some places online have warnings for jellyfish, but luckily I didn't encounter any. There are lots of options for food nearby. The beach wasn't overcrowded either! The parking is 1000-1500 yen.
