Tiny and Interesting, BUT No English

This was a neat place to go and see, with lots of interesting stuff inside, but nothing I was allowed to photograph. Also, there was no English, so fully understanding the historical relevance of the samurai armor or scrolls requires a really over-achieving translator or Japanese fluency. As I had neither, I spent my time focusing on the beauty of the details and bits I usually don't get to see, like how the armor that went over the arms was sometimes tied onto a metal hope positioned between the samurai's shoulder blades. this meant that someone else had to dress them, just like knights in the European traditions, and that that spot has some sort of relevance as it's also where the personal crest winds up on a lot of other samurai clothing. It's not a bad place if you're fluent, obsessed with history, or don't mind just ogling the stuff without the context of proper verbal accompaniment.
