Handmade Products

After riding past this little shop so many times, I finally took a little time to check it out. It looked like they sold greeting cards and that sort of thing, but with a handmade and maybe local touch. It's a tiny shop but there are lots of items displayed, from letter writing stationary to art prints and rubber stamps. All of the products are designed by Japanese artists and a couple are local to Kurume. The third floor also has a studio space for rent although I didn't look up there. I was able to easily pick out a couple cute items to send to my niece for her birthday. The prices are really affordable, about the same as mass produced products in chain stores. I prefer to support the artists and small shops like this when possible.
