Best to visit for the weeping cherry
I had heard a lot of great things about Kinsenji temple in the Totoro Forest area of Tokorozawa. But unfortunately, for me, it didn't live up to the hype at all. However, I visited in January when there were only a few flowers in flower beds and two small wintersweet with few blooms on them. The piece du resistance of the temple is its 150+ year old weeping cherry blossom tree. I imagine if I had visited when that was blooming, I would have had a better overall opinion of this temple. Frankly, I would only visit again to see the weeping cherry blossom in bloom.
