A testament to loyalty
Nogi Shrine has many features and a haunting history that draws visitors. The shrine is dedicated to General Nogi and his wife who, on the death of the Meiji emperor, committed suicide at their residence located on the grounds. The shrine grounds encompass a park, a treasure hall, a wedding venue (as the general and his wife are symbols of eternal loyalty), and an Inari shrine with red gates. It's a tranquil spot where people pray for academic success and lasting marital ties.

Close to Nogizaka Station
Nogi Shrine is located next to Nogizaka Station and close to the 21-21 Design Sight Museum, so it's worth checking out if you're in the area. Even though it's right by the station, it has an oasis in the city vibe to it -- the grounds are very tranquil and peaceful. There is a part with stacked torii (similar in vibe to Fushimi Inari), which makes for some cool photos.
