Serene temple in all seasons

Hondoji Temple in Matsudo City is at the end of an avenue of stately trees near Kitakogane Station on the Joban local line. This Nichiren temple is often quiet, perfect for strolls orotund the garden and along the covered wooden walkway. The garden is spectacular a few times a year. In spring, cherry blossoms blow around the vermillion temple eaves. In the rainy season, a dense hillside garden of hydrangeas and a low water garden of irises relieve the gloom. In autumn, return for spider lilies and autumn foliage.
