Hakodate Station

Not enough amenities for people with kids

We traveled through this station when I was a new mom with a young baby, and from a parent's point of view this station was awful for facilities for parents. There were a lot of people transiting through here, and there was one baby change table which was in the disabled/multipurpose toilet area. As you can imagine in a nation with an aging population, there was an absurdly long queue and everyone over the age of 65 was lined up for the larger toilet area. If I didn't have children I'd have probably rated it higher, and maybe some others have better experiences - maybe I just arrived here at a peak time where everyone needed to use the restroom! Hopefully in the couple of years since I've visited Hakodate things have improved.
