Autumn Leaves Festival and Light Up
'Momiji Matsuri,” running November 23rd until December 3rd, from 10:00 until 17:00 at Ishibashi Culture Center, with illumination of Japanese maples (momiji) on weekend evenings (18:00-20:00) from November 23rd to December 24th. We went in the evening for the lovely scenery, but there are several events going on during the day. One of the special exhibits visible at night was the 'ballroom dome' made from wax painting onto fabrics. There were several collaborative art projects including glass lilypads and haniwa sculptures scattered around the garden. The ginko trees are also so lovely this time of year.
