European sense, reasonably-priced practical stuff
Whenever I visit Omotesando, I drop by Flying Tiger for novelties, stationery, and practical items. The designs are appealing and display a different sense from domestic Japanese housewares shops. The goods fit well with Japanese lifestyles - small, portable, everyday stuff - with a European design sensibility. I pick up gifts for coworkers that I know they won't just shelve. The stationery and kitchenware are always winners. It's also a lure into Urasando, the back streets of Omotesando. Beyond Flying Tiger, there are eateries and independent retail shops with all kinds of cool things.

I go for the stationery
With so many 100 yen stores around Japan offering much of the same, but at a cheaper price, I've little need to visit Flying Tiger Copenhagen. But Flying Tiger Copenhagen is one of those places that you visit because you want to, not because you need to! I like to pop in occasionally when I am in Omotesando and peruse the stationery section. Sometimes I'll find something I didn't know I was in need of and pick it up! I particularly like it at Christmas when they have Christmas goods on sale. And its nice a place to buy gifts in that area.

Denmark's answer to Daiso
Flying Tiger Copenhagen is what I like to refer to as "Denmark's Daiso". It's a store where you can find all manner of inexpensive bits and pieces, from cute stationery to small homewares, cleaning supplies, and more. When it first opened several years ago it was a madhouse with long queues all the time, but these days that's not an issue. I usually like to visit during the Christmas season for stocking stuffers - they often have some fun products released just for the festive season. The store is located just a short walk from Omotesando Station.
