One of the Best Japanese Steak!

Omedetai is a Japanese restaurant that serves the delicious Wakasa Beef of Fukui. We got curious to check it out because they serve SUKIYAKI (a dish with vegetables, meat, mirin, and soy sauce simmered in a pot), which my husband has never eaten, but always wanted to try. Plus, we had a hard time finding a place to eat at because everything was full, except for this place. We were skeptical, because it was practically empty on a SATURDAY NIGHT! But we were hungry, and we just want a nice meal. WE ORDERED: 1. Sukiyaki Meal (1,680 yen) My husband I love it! The soup wasn’t very overpowering and the meat was very flavorful. 2. Sirloin Steak Meal (3,980 yen) It was pricey, but worth it! The meat just melts in your mouth. It makes you want to savor every last bite. For me, it’s the best steak I’ve ever had. 3. Tako Karage (580 yen) This deep-fried octopus didn’t taste oily or salty. It was very delicious and the perfect appetizer for us. 4. Wafuu Zenzai(580 yen) This is a Japanese dessert made from azuki (red bean paste), mochi, and chestnuts. It was quite sweet, so I was glad that my husband and I were sharing. If not, I don’t think I could finish it. It was till tasty, though. AMBIANCE and SERVICE: The interior was kind of a mix between traditional Japanese design and a diner. There were only us and another group, so it wasn’t noisy. The staff that tended us was very friendly. VERDICT: I highly recommend it. It’s a cozy restaurant that serves hearty Japanese meals. Some items can be a bit pricey, but most of it are actually affordable.
