Main shrine of Konosu

Ko Shrine is the main shrine of Konosu City in Saitama Prefecture. Konosu City is famous for many things including its poppy fields and Guinness World Record fireworks. Ko (or Kou) Shrine is very famous within Saitama, but it is also well known further afield as a shrine that safeguards childbirth. The reason being is that the shrine was founded on the premise of the legend of the stork of Konosu city. You can buy stork egg amulets here, either in white or gold. The shrine also has several events throughout the year, including night light up for the cherry blossom and gingko tree seasons.
