Rose shaped omrice and parfaits with handmade macarons

The Café is situated in a back alley of Shimokitazawa and not so easy to find unless you come a few minutes before opening. Then a queue of about 20 people will lead you to the entrance. The Café is pretty popular, so people will come to line up even on weekdays. If you are among the first 4 to 5 groups in the queue you will probably get a seat immediately. If not you are asked to write your name and telephone number and will get a call once a seat is open. However, it is pretty hard to predict how long it will take and might take a few hours as the café is pretty small and can only accommodate a few people at a time. The food looks really stunning. The most popular main dish is the order made omrice. You can choose, which rice is to be used, how the egg will be cooked and which sauce you would like. I definitely recommend the rose shaped omrice. For desserts, you can choose out of a large number of parfaits with handmade macarons that all look really cute. When you pay your bill you can see a small oven behind the counter, where the macarons are baked. As the foods are all handmade and decorated really nicely, it also takes some time from your order until the food is severed. Price for one main dish, one dessert, and one drink is about 2,500 Yen. I would recommend this for slow travelers, that like to enjoy not only the taste but also the visual aspect of food.
