Famed for its thin sweet potato chips

Koedo Osatsu An always has a queue, even on a boring Monday afternoon. Thankfully Monday afternoon queues are much shorter than every other day. People queue for the famed long and thin sweet potato chips. The chips come with a flavoured sauce. There are about ten choices of sauce. The number best seller is the salty butter flavour. I wasn't particularly taken with this flavour dip, but the chocolate cream one is very nice. The chips are quite nice on their own too, without any sauce. They are best eaten fresh as they lose their crispness with time. One bag of sweet potato chips with sauce costs 500 yen. At first I thought it was quite expensive, but they are actually quite filling and are worth the hiked price. The shop, which is more like a kiosk, also sells a few other treats such as ice-cream. No parking and no seating available.
