Some deals and a miniature train!

Just northwest of Nagareyama Ootakanomori Station is the Kotoe mall with its anchor shop, Lopia. Lopia is a supermarket chain with shops all over Japan. This particular location has well-lit interiors which makes the fresh produce, fish, and meat counters very appealing. A treat for kids of all ages is the snacks and candy aisle with a miniature train that chugs along a track above the aisles. It's quirky and hard to miss as the train blows its whistle and passes through various stations. In terms of selection, it has a huge array of packaged food, and the prepared foods include things such as Chinese and Korean dishes at reasonable prices. Alcohol here is considerably cheaper than neighboring supermarkets, too. However fresh vegetables are about 20% higher in price.
