Sweets and coffee with a cozy vibe

Soraya is a cafe in Niigata City's Chuo Ward where you can enjoy a variety of different sweet treats, including the likes of chiffon cake, caneles, pudding, and cheesecake. The coffee here is really good, too. One downside is the amount of parking, which is pretty limited (two spaces!) so public transport is honestly easier than driving in a lot of respects. It's walkable from Sekiya Station in about 10 minutes, or there's a Harashin supermarket about 5 minutes away which has a lot you could always park in.
