Minatoinari Shrine

Inari shrine in Niigata City

Minatoinari Shrine is a smaller-sized inari shrine in Niigata City, and there are a couple of komainu statues on the grounds where you can wish for good luck. The schtick here is that you have to walk around the komainu while you're making your wish for it to be granted, so it's a bit different/fun compared to some other shrines I've visited. They have some nice goshuin here, so if you collect those it's worth stopping by with your book. The shrine is about 10 minutes by car from the Niigata Station area.
