Zakka and Ateria Kiitos

Little Finland in Little America!

Kiitos is a Finnish shop selling Moomin character goods and produce from Finland. The branch in Johnson town, the "Little America" of Saitama, is particularly cute with a small tree house outside. Its just for decoration though, you can't go into it! Brands on sale include Lisa Larson, Littala, Marimekko and Moomin. Apart from Nordic and Moomin goods, this particular branch of Kiitos also has a cafe. Its a small, but nice and healthy menu. It includes a beef stew stewed in Finnish beer. The store says that they are open every day, but on two of my visits to Johnson town it was actually closed. Their website isn't maintained, so I don't know how you can check in advance if it will be open. Its just luck of the draw I suppose!
