Royal Host Nakano

Mixed Bag for a Family Restaurant

Royal Host has some good locations, but this one in Nakano isn't one of their best. The staff and atmosphere is alright. The servers were prompt and very attentive to the customers, and the seating was actually very comfortable and looked nice despite the large amount of diners during our visit. The space wasn't cramped in any way. The food on the other hand was so-so. I believe Royal Host is known for its Western food, but most of the Western items didn't have much in the way of vegetables without being salad. I ordered their version of sweet and sour pork and rice, and I wasn't a big fan of it. It tasted as if proportions were a bit off. The Hamburg steak my girlfriend had was a lot better though, and the restaurant's bread tasted great.
