Kan no Go Onsen

Relaxing onsen with drinkable water

Kan no Go onsen offers a public hotspring as well as several private (family) hotsprings. You can even stay overnight in a room with a private onsen. The facilities are very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and you may easily end up chatting with curious regulars and getting all sorts of information about local food and invitations to people's homes. Though not especially fancy, one of my favorite onsens in Japan. The water is drinkable and supposed to help with gout and other ailments.
