    Male and female falls!

The Medaki and Odaki falls are two of the three waterfalls of Kuroyama. The area around Medaki and Odaki is the top end of the Kuroyama fall area. As such there is a rest area and a few facilities there, including a little shop. The waterfalls are quite small. Their name translates into female and male waterfall! Odaki is the "male" fall and the larger of the two. It is the one higher up. The water pool from Odaki creates the Medaki "female" fall below. Take from that what you will! You can climb up to the top to see Odaki from the top. It is quite a steep incline with a treacherous landscape, so if you have small children with you it might be better accessed from a proper path that can be accessed further back down the road. Parking is at the bottom of the mountain road, about a kilometre away. There is also a car park that is nearer to Medaki and Odaki, but it is charged and not suited to a large car.
