Okay Hawaiian-Style Food, Service Needs Improvement

My family and I ate a late lunch here in late December 2019. They didn't seem too full or under-staffed and could seat us immediately. The menu looked interesting and fun with a number of Hawaiian-style tapas and grilled beef options as well as a cute kids plate. The food came out in a timely fashion though some of it needed some work. The "Pepperoni and Hawaiian Ham Flatbread Pizza" had no pepperoni on it at all, but was pleasantly edible. A bigger disappointment was the steak chunks, served with a small hot grilling rock to render the meat cooked to whatever it is you associate with perfection. The meat was completely raw, which would have been okay if the rock had been hot enough to cook more than three tiny chunks of meat. It wasn't. My husband asked the waitress to replace it and that alone took twenty minutes, which included time the waitress spent organizing napkins at the back of our seating area and only ended after I walked past her to get to the drink bar and came back grumbling about not being able to finish our meal. The steak wasn't an entree but a starter for us, yet we had to wait to finish it and finished it last. The drink bar had a small variety of beverages, not all of which were filled regularly, but it still felt nicer than the family-style restaurants' multiple-sodas-on-tap-plus-coffee option. The ambiance was nice and meal itself was alright. The food was mostly enjoyable, but the service could use a little speeding up to make this place worth the price.
