Old school Chinese-Japanese food, popular

A short walk from Kawama Station south exit is a classic Chinese-Japanese, or is it Japanese-Chinese restaurant. It’s old school with tatami and low table seating at the big windows, the menu on paper strips on the walls (and it’s a big menu), and a kitchen counter where you can watch the tv or the goldfish in the tank. We had simple and filling miso ramen. Another cheap and good favorite here is wakame ramen. Their gyoza don’t come to the table until your ramen is already served, but they’ll be done just right. It’s a casual and friendly place.
