Mombetsu Central Hotel

Better than your average business hotel!

Conveniently located close to a number of different attractions, the Mombetsu Central Hotel worked as an excellent base for exploring the Eastern Hokkaido area. Set only a couple of minutes drive from the icebreaking ship Garinko II, which is the area’s major attraction, the rooms here were larger than what you’d usually find at an average business hotel. There is a restaurant at the premises and I had breakfast there, which had plenty of both Japanese and Western options. If you do need something else to eat or want to pick up some snacks for your day of sightseeing in the region, there is a Seicomart Convenience store situated about 2 minutes walk from the main entrance. Staff were friendly and efficient, and check in and check out were also quick and easy. The hotel also has public baths and a sauna for patrons to use if they want to.
