Beautiful wagashi at this museum cafe
I actually visited here strictly for the wagashi, since I'd seen online that the museum had a cafe attached. The museum itself is all about Japanese art, but you can access the cafe without having to get an admission ticket to the museum itself. The cafe specializes in tea and wagashi sets. The wagashi are seasonal, and the spring varieties they had available when I visited included peony, sakura, and hydrangea to name a few. They are beautiful and almost too good to eat. Sets are priced at 1000 yen for a wagashi and tea of your choice (there was matcha, oolong and a floral infused blend to pick from). Closest stations are either Ebisu or Hiroo - its about equal distance from either.
