Not crowded at all

A lot of international visitors know about places like Hakuba in Nagano and Niseko in Hokkaido, but those places honestly get packed to the rafters and there are much better options out there if crowds aren't your thing. The Matsunoyama Onsen Ski Resort in Tokamachi is a great option if you prefer a more laid back vibe, and the price is only 3000 yen for a one-day adult pass. In my home country, a one-day ski pass is about 5 times that, so I'm thankful that winter sports here are reasonably priced!
