Interesting for history buffs - perhaps a pass for others
I've only visited here on account of my husband who is a history buff. It's probably for the same reason he insisted we stop by the Hotel New Grand, where General Douglas MacArthur stayed when he was in Japan (room 315 has a plaque stating it's "his" room). Personally, I think this spot is only of interest to those who have an interest in history or international relations.

Graves of important foreign dignitaries
You may be wondering, "Why would anyone willingly visit a cemetery?" Actually, it's one of my favorite things to do in Japan and around the world. There's something interesting about seeing the people buried there. Yes, it may also be morbid, but it's an interesting piece of history. Especially the Foreign General Cemetary in Yokohama. Here, you can see the important international history of Yokohama through the graves of the foreign residents who used to live in Yokohama. I'm not sure what the hours are, because sometimes the gate is open and sometimes it's closed. Unfortunately, in the case of this cemetery, you can't walk around. Only the small viewing area is open to the public, where you can see a few graves up close as well as a plaque commemorating the people buried there. Walking along the road, you can peek through the gates to see the graves as well too. And, if you're lucky, you can also catch sight of some of the cats who take residence in the graveyard.
