Goryokaku Tower

A cool view from the top!

If you've ever seen photos of the star-shaped Goryokaku from above, they've likely been taken from Goryokaku Tower. The view from the tower is really neat - I thought it gave a full perspective as to just how impressive the Goryokaku's design is. Unfortunately it looks like the tower is closed at the time being (no reopening date is provided on their site) as a result of COVID, but if you're in Hakodate once it reopens it's worth the visit. The only downside is that the ticket price is a bit steep in my opinion at 900 yen.
