Fujimidai Terrace

Beautifully done viewing deck

Fujimidai Terrace is an observatory deck at 452 meters above sea level near the top of the Mt Katsuragi. On a clear day there is an amazing view of Mt Fuji, Suruga Bay, Cape Ose and of the surrounding cities. There is a lovely seating area with outdoor furniture with comfortable cushions. Its actually with your back to Mt Fuji so more for a photo op rather than sitting to admire the view. There are other places you can sit and leisurely take in the view. It is quite a hike up to the top of the mountain, but thankfully there is a rope-way you can use. It is quite long and the views from it are amazing as well. You'll find information below in the related posts. The deck is open from when the rope way starts. Hours vary by day and season. Generally though you can get up and down between 10 am and 4 pm. The observatory area is free, but you have to pay for the rope-way.
