    Hike From Keya Beach

This is not an easy area to get to without a car, as crowded buses (200 yen a ride) run only six times a day in each direction. There is a free parking lot if you go by car. There is a loop hike called Tachi ishi that can be accessed in either direction, one from a parking lot closer than the one by Keya Beach. We did the loop including walking back on the paved road and taking lots of breaks to take pictures at panoramic beach viewpoints. It took us a couple hours total I think, but it isn't that long of a hike, it just has a lot of up and down including steep rocks to climb up. A lot of people on the parking lot end brought dogs, but the other side near the beach is rockier. We didn't really have time to spend at the beach or look around more because of the bus schedule. I'd recommend going by car and packing a lunch if you do this hike. There were restaurants near the beach, but mostly expensive seafood restaurants that closed by 4:00pm. There are lots of other scenic and tourist areas nearby that we didn't have a chance to get to.
