    Navigation tips for Omotesando Station

I depended on Omotesando Station when I commuted into Tokyo, so I got used to some of the conveniences and quirks. Some tips - there are toilets inside the ticket gates, located in Echika, the food court with the soft lighting. They're tucked in behind the restaurants. Other toilets are outside the ticket gates at exits A2 and B2. A round information booth run by JNTO bisects the ticket gates. You can talk to staff on either side. It's open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

    Easier to navigate than others

I don't know if its because I use it more than other metro stations in Tokyo, but I find Omotesando Station one of the easiest ones to navigate. There is a good bit of walking to and between exits, but everything is clearly marked. Also, because it doesn't interconnect with other stations, it feels more compact which also aides in the ease of getting around and in and out of the station! It is serviced by four different lines (three metro and the romancecar) which means that there is a steady flow of people, but I rarely feel that it is chaotic.

    Convenient Location

The Omotesando area is a fancy district that I usually feel like I am undressed for, but always enjoy my visits. It is nice that this location is connected to the Chiyoda, Ginza, and Hanzomon Lines, so you can easily hop back onto the trains after a nice brunch in the area. The station itself is a bit dim inside, and there is quite a bit of a walk between exits. However, you will also see several shops inside the station, especially nice if you want to pick up a bagel or some desserts on your way home.

Access to the Chiyoda, Ginza, and Hanzomon lines

I always enjoy a visit to the Omotesando area, and Omotesando Station makes it easy to get there. The station is served by the Chiyoda, Ginza, and Hanzomon lines, and there are various different options for shopping and eating inside the station itself. The real gems are outside, though, but there's a branch of the Soup Stock chain, Hirota Bakery (try the classic Omote-kun pastry!) and more.
