Saizeriya Aviation Park Branch

Not so family friendly family restaurant

Saizeriya are a chain of Italian restaurants, which are commonly considered family restaurants. However, this branch beside the Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park is the least family friendly branch I have been to. We eat in Saizeriya quite a bit as it is very reasonably priced and has a good menu. So we have been to various branches in Saitama and other prefectures. Quite a few of the Saizeriya still allow smoking within the restaurant (but the number of non-smoking are on the increase). However, usually the smoking area is separated by at least a partition, often a glass wall. In the Tokorozawa branch there is dividing barrier and I would guess that there is also no extractor fan. Another peculiarity for a supposed family restaurant is that the restaurant is upstairs with no lift and no place to park a stroller. They do have the usual Saizeriya kids menu and they have high chairs too. Access from Kōkū-kōen station on the Seibu Shinjuku line. Free parking for about 25 cars under the restaurant.
