Tranquil modern styled ryokan in Beppu

This ryokan has something of a traditional and modern fusion feel happening - decor and layout wise! The premises is situated on Beppu Bay and we chose a room with a private balcony onsen. The tub was huge and the views over the bay really provided the ultimate in relaxation. Food wise the kaiseki was quite traditional. They were quite accommodating with food preferences - I had the meat course over the seafood - the Oita wagyu in particular was phenomenal! The western breakfast is a bit of a unique interpretation on western but there was still loads of food to fill me up! If I was in the area and looking for a great relaxation destination I would absolutely stay here again.
