Shibamata Park 柴又公園

Views of the Edo River

On a rise above the Edo River at Shibamata, you get some great views of the district and if you're lucky, Mt. Fuji in the distance. The park has a station for stretching equipment, a little lawn with trees, a row of cherry trees that bloom spectacularly in April and May, and views over the lowrise Shibamata neighborhood. I came down the Keisei line from Kanamachi and walked back along the river walking and cycling path. It's a relaxing and pleasant spot to take a break, catch breezes off the river, and you can always walk down to the bank and board the tiny Yagiri ferry here.
