Large park, great for families
Koganei Park is one of Tokyo's better known parks. It is home to the Edo Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum and has plenty of facilities for locals and tourists alike. It is perhaps most popular during sakura season when the beautiful mature cherry blossom trees are in bloom. There is a lovely air trampoline that kids love. And if you have a dog, there is a nice dog run in the park too. They even have a barbecue area, so you could easily spend a whole day in the park. There are also sporting facilities for locals including an indoor gym.

Nice to tack onto a visit to the Edo Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum
Koganei Park is a great place to add to an itinerary in conjunction with a visit to the Edo Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum. It's a pleasant and spacious park -- always nice to find in the city! I recommend visiting in spring if you can, as the park is known for its sakura. Still nice to visit outside that season, though, and much quieter!

Koganei Park
This park is popular for Hanami. In the Hanami season it can get very crowded. On weekends you can find small stalls that sell food and drinks. Outside of the Hanami season it is not as crowded and a nice park to take a walk, for jogging or for kids to play.
